The SolidCRS™ 0.8 mm Diameter Stainless Steel Gas Mig Welding Wire is an all position Flux-Core MIG self-shielding wire. Ideally easy for working on rusty, dirty, and painted material. This wire produces moderate to low spatter using an Argon/CO2 mix will reduce spatter and it has forney's E71T which allows it to run hotter than solid wires. This makes it best suited for single pass applications with high travel speed. Excellent for outdoor use because it does not require shielding gas. Wires that require gas run the risk of wind blowing the gas away, ultimately resulting in porosity.

With a carbon content held to a max of .03% to reduce the possibility of intergranular carbide precipitation. Most popular stainless wire for general-purpose applications where corrosion is moderate and applications at cryogenic temperatures. Maximum carbon content to provide resistance against intergranular corrosion and 2-3% molybdenum increases corrosion resistance; good bead-wetting characteristics, great puddle control and clean welds with minimal smut; use for welding similar alloys containing approximately 2% molybdenum.
